BAYEGAN’s Dubai-based subsidiary, BAYEGAN DMCC, was recognized by EcoVadis, the leading sustainability rating platform that assesses corporate sustainability performance worldwide. EcoVadis awarded BAYEGAN DMCC a Silver Medal for ranking among the top 15% of all companies evaluated according to environmental, social, and ethical performance.

BAYEGAN continues to strengthen its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices. As BAYEGAN proceeds with its Sustainability Reporting efforts, the company approaches this process not merely as a reporting activity, but as a holistic and strategic journey that supports its growth vision, core values, and forward-looking leadership approach—fostering trust-based relationships with all stakeholders.Regarding the company's sustainability initiatives, BAYEGAN CEO Burcu Olcay Üstüner stated:
"Stakeholder expectations regarding ESG in the petrochemical industry are increasing rapidly. Customers, suppliers, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies are now evaluating ESG performance as a fundamental criterion in their decision-making processes. For this reason, we closely monitor topics such as the Turkish Emissions Trading System (ETS) & Climate Law, Turkish Sustainability Reporting Standards (TSRS), the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and its impact on our export activities, Product Carbon Footprint (PCF), and transparency in the supply chain driven by growing demands for ISO certifications.
With the support of our top management, we are establishing an ESG task force composed of representatives from various departments. Simultaneously, we are forming an ESG Committee that will manage these processes, contribute to decision-making mechanisms, and align our ESG initiatives with our corporate strategies. ESG is not the responsibility of a single unit; it is the responsibility of the entire company. Collaboration and knowledge sharing are critical to the success of this process. We expect all our teams to take an active role in evaluation processes, policy reviews, and improvement plans.
